Several months before our trip to Japan in March, 2025, my wife and I scheduled a two-day tour of Tokyo highlights by mass transportation with Jolly. She was extraordinarily responsive to my inquiries and sent us a proposed itinerary for our consideration and comment, offering to make any changes we desired (the plans were so well curated that we never needed to make any modifications or suggestions for other or different venues to explore). Jolly was punctual in meeting us at our hotel both days and organized our tours in a sensible manner to make the use of the Tokyo metro as efficient as possible. She is remarkably knowledgeable as to the sights we visited and provided interesting information in English we could clearly understand (unless Kon'nichiwa and Arigato constitute fluency, my Japanese is woefully deficient). Jolly ushered us through the subways effectively, always sure to let us know the number of stations on the train until our next stop so we would not inadvertently stray. Most important, though, Jolly is a lovely and warm person and we greatly enjoyed spending time with her, talking about her family, daily life, favorite foods, and interests. My wife and I are grateful and consider ourselves incredibly fortunate that we chose to tour Tokyo with Jolly. I am confident that you will as well.

I cannot recommend Jolly highly enough .She is superb. It begins even before you get Japan. Great communication about what you would like to see and do. Then she provides an itinerary that can be changed or adapted . Then on the tour day she was wonderful in person, knowledgeable and passionate about her country and culture. Jolly is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide with a deep interest and understanding of the various architectural landmarks in Ginza. She was very well prepared and we passed a very pleasant afternoon in her company strolling and admiring many sites in this famous neighborhood. We had a really fantastic and fun day with Jolly in Tokyo. She is a very nice and extremely pleasant person, with a real sense of humor. Her English is great. We had booked another tour of the main sites (temples, museums, etc.), so we asked Jolly to really help us see the more fun and everyday side of Tokyo. She took us to a pachinko parlor, a cat cafe, the biggest electronic games arcade I have ever seen (or want to!), a bonsai store, two art galleries and a dealer in old swords, plus the old fish market. We had lunch at a great sushi place in one of the department stores. It was all just tremendous and great fun. I am sure Jolly can give a great tour of the traditional sites as well, but that was not what we ask her for. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Jolly highly enough. She was not only knowledgeable and fun to explore Tokyo with, she was also extremely flexible and willing to adapt the tour to our own interests. We had already been to one of the spots she was going to take us so on the fly, she suggested another neighbourhood we might enjoy. This proved to be one of our favourite parts of visit to Tokyo so far. I highly recommend Jolly as a guide. You won’t be sorry.

She'll strive to understand your interests and priorities then make detailed plans to make the most of your time. In addition, she also laid out best ways to get around the city before and after the tour to ensure that we are taken care of beyond the scope of the tour. Our day with Jolly was beset by heavy rains and she always had alternate plans ready. Rain or shine, you are going to have a fantastic time with Jolly.

Highlight of my trip! Got a wonderful tour of Tokyo on my first day and she provided not just a tour of some of the highlights (Tokyo is so big and beautiful!) but also gave us background, context, tips and recommendations tailored to my interests. Since it was my first time in Tokyo she also did a wonderful job of making sure we knew how to take the trains and load my suica card etc and gave me the basics to help me orient myself and navigate the city. She provided background and even showed me some hidden gems along the way. Our guide was so kind and helpful and reached out before to see what we were interested in seeing in Tokyo and really planned a wonderful experience. Highly recommended to anyone visiting.

We didn't book our trip until the last minute, but with just a few days to plan, Jolly worked with us to plan a very fun, interesting day. She met us at our hotel, and showed us an outline of our day, based on what we asked for. We were able to tweak it a little, and Jolly was very flexible about that. She went over and above on short notice to find us a 'Sushi train' restaurant, and it was fabulous! Her knowledge of the culture and history of Japan was amazing, her English was impeccable and she was so warm and friendly. On a side note, I am a Travel Advisor, and will now be recommending Jolly to EVERY ONE of my customers!

Jolly was excellent. She met us at our hotel and took us to the sites that we had requested. She was very knowledgeable of Tokyo and guided us through the subway to reach our destinations. She even helped us locate the platforms that we would take for our train the next day. We could not have asked for a better guide. She was very friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable and easy to work with. I would highly recommend Jolly if you are looking for a local guide using the subway in Tokyo.
